what do you think kate’s biggest insecurity is? and castle’s?

WRITINGWELL: I think Castle’s biggest insecurity is that he’s not enough - not man enough, not fun enough, not cool enough, not good enough under pressure, not strong enough…thus his dramatic persona and his…

Really interesting insights!!! These kinds of discussions are WONDERFUL — keep posting them!!

I can never get over this scene. Just the way he grabs her and pulls her away. And her flailing. But what I really can’t get over is when he touches her face, and she strokes his face back… Guhhh feelssss

And him telling her he’s sorry and it’s going to be okay…over and over.

This is THE best scene!!

“No one’s perfect. Everyone’s flawed. It’s a really kind of modern experience to have heroes that are flawed. They’re trying to become their better selves. They might not always make the right decisions, they might not do everything the best way possible, but that struggle, that attempt and that failure and then that reattempt…that’s interesting. That’s why she’s interesting to me. I think I can relate to that. I think everybody relates to that.” -Stana Katic

Andrew Marlowe and the Castle writers, getting foreshadowing right since 2009: “Think of foreshadowing as setup. The best foreshadowing is subtle and is woven into the story; often in multiple ways. In this fashion, foreshadowing helps build tension and gives resonance and power to the story.”

I don’t think anyone will ever quite understand how much I love the Castle episode Anatomy of a murder. It’s just perfect television.

Castle: I don’t believe in much but I believe in us, and however hard you try you can’t get rid of me. I love you.

FORESHADOWING — I repeat — FORESHADOWING!!! Andrew W Marlowe et al should be offering doctorates on who to do foreshadowing! I just rewatched the segment where the quote comes from with each one reading the respective letters of the two lovers — the modulation of their voices, the looks they give each other, then BAM, they’re not in anyway ready to acknowledge the reality of the words… LOVE IT!

When “Don’t look” turns into “WHY ARE YOU NOT LOOKING?!”

Beckett: “Because I have a gun, and you don’t really have a choice.”Castle: “Clearly, I don’t have a choice.”
