If there isn’t an immediate yes, which is increasinglyy likely - hard to go from where 5x24 was leading up to for the previous 33 + min of the episode to an out right yes ( ALTHOUGH I COULD BE WRONG) to a YES!, then I like how you outline 6x01!!I really believe that Kate is going to pull Castle up from the ground and they are going to sit on the swings and have a talk about where they are headed. That being said, i do think by the end of 6x01 they will be engaged.

Castle, My thoughts
I think Beckett thought castle was going to break up with her, his comment of saying “I want more” said to her she wasn’t what he wanted like she wasn’t good enough. just like in the episode 5x08 where she goes “I’m just this cop and we are in this relationship which makes absolutely no sense on paper” she never knew where she stood in the relationship and in that moment she thought she was going to have been “another one of his conquests”
I agree to a point, the point is that its hard to accept she didn’t know where she stood in the relationship given he wouldn’t leave her while she STOOD ON A BOMB (!) — with literally seconds for the bomb to go off and clearly NOT ENOUGH time to save himself HE STAYED with her!!! He’s willing to DIE WITH HER — you don’t do that if you’re not committed to the person and can’t see yourself living without them (screw the relationship). But that she may have had fears — yes - this is plausible especially since we know how horrible they are at actually saying the words! Both Stana and Nathan are phenomenal actors and the scenes in Watershed were amazing!
