“So, back to the grind later today? Did you just slip home for some afternoon delight?” Castle asked with a smile, breaking the comfortable silence that had engulfed them after he’d finished gloating.
“Closed the case earlier today and the Captain sent us home early with the next two days off,” she informed him once she had stopped snickering.
“But you were going to come home at noon anyway, right?” he asked hopefully, a matching smile on his face as he held her a little closer. Without hesitation, though with a lot of snickering, Kate assured him that she had been planing to come home and ravish him since she’d woken up that morning.
